Horseshoe Lake

These were taken on a one day canoe trip last spring at Horseshoe Lake with my friend Kelly. The lake is known for being home to lots of eagles, but we didn't really see any, just lots of other birds.

For Fun

Besides liking to write, I also enjoy being active and being outside. Last year I was able to participate in several trips through Southern Illinois University's Outdoor Adventure Program and encourage everyone to go on at least one trip while they are at Southern. My highlight last year was getting to go backpacking in Garden of the Gods and also canoeing the Current River in Missouri.
